Hello Fellow Noon Optimists and friends,
We had a fairly nice turnout at today's meeting.
Optimist Tom Ganz celebrated a birthday a few weeks ago but was absent last week so we performed our best rendition of Happy Birthday for Tom today.
I'm pleased to announce we have two new members. Please welcome aboard Stephanie Mann and Jeffrey Kirchner.
Our secret greeter today was Lorraine Fitzgibbons. Lorraine awarded the handshake prize to Jan Ermel.
Last week's contest winner was reported by Bonnie Haan. She announced Sue Bousquet as the winner. Sue will have the honor of presenting a new contest next week.
A new contest was presented by Ralph Green. That winner will be announced next week.
Drawing winners are: Tom Ganz, Nick Schenkel, and Sue Bousquet.
Our speaker was Zachary Baiel, community activist. Zachary spoke about some of the issues he has championed with local government and encouraged us all to be active in our community.
Folks, don't forget. Our meeting on the 29th will be an evening meeting. We will convene at 6:00 PM rather than the usual noon time. Please feel free to bring along family and/or friends. All are welcome. Til then...
